You may want to check the value of `rwSuffixType` int he run you are using to do the offline calculation, and make sure you specify the same in your offline run: https://mitgcm.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started/getting_started.html#input-output-files

Though I’d be a little surprised if that make the file name shorter than 10 characters.   It would be really easy to write a script to rename those files, perhaps via softlinks to the original files.  I think moreso than someone familiar with offline mode, you need someone familiar with how those files were originally created.
