Thanks for your prompt reply,
Unfortunately, I think the solution you gave me does not work for me.
Because I found the number appeared at the error message (e.g., 0000000144) changed whenever I change the parameters in data.off file.
Also, I have thousands of continuous input files from u.0001.data to u.3650.data, so it is impossible to change all input file names.
If there is a person who is familiar with offline experiment in your team, could you refer them to me?
Best regards,
Jaehong

I am not very familiar with your experiment but from error message below, it looks like you may have to rename u.0001.data to ./input_off/uvel/u.0000000144
etc.

Hi,
I hope this email finds you well.
I'm Jaehong Kim, a Ph.D. student in Florida State University.
I'm currently struggling with running the MITgcm offline experiment.
My input files are named "u.0001.data", "u.0002.data" and "u.0003.data".
Also, I have v and w velocities with similar names starting with each alphabet and have s (salinity) and t (temperature) files.
Those files are daily mean files.
When I run the model with those files, I encounter this error below.
(PID.TID 0000.0001)
(PID.TID 0000.0001) Start initial hydrostatic pressure computation

MDS_READ_FIELD: Files DO not exist
STOP ABNORMAL END: S/R MDS_READ_FIELD
I tried everything that I could do, however, I failed to find the cause and solve the problem.
Can you please help me what this error means and how it can be fixed?
I attached my data and data.off files for reference.
Best regards,
Jaehong
