[MITgcm-support] apply_forcing.F vs external_forcing.F

Hi everyone,


I'm poking around in the code to look to see how shortwave and surface heating works without EXF, and I noticed that there is a file called apply_forcing.F and a nearly identical one called external_forcing.F. If I want to edit routines in these files, which does the actual model use? I tried tracking it down but it might be faster just to ask here.
