Hi Andrew,
apply_forcing.F is your candidate.
the subroutines external_forcing_U/V/T/S belong to the ‘old way’, which could be reactivated (if you want to reproduce old results) by defining the cpp-flag USE_OLD_EXTERNAL_FORCING (see apply_forcing.F).
