[MITgcm-support] appropriate OBCS conditions for free boundary

Hello all

I am setting up an experiment on an idealised continental shelf with an ice
shelf at the southern boundary. I will impose OBCS velocities at the east
and west boundaries; i would like the northern to be open but not to
specify any velocities. Is this possible? Is this the right application for
a wave/radiation condition? Would specifying an orlanski condition via obcs
be the appropriate thing to do?
