Hi Madeline, in terms of acoustics calculations, you may need something higher resolution.
Possibly the 1/48 global-ocean+tides simulation might be helpful for your work.
At MIT, Chris Hill should be able to direct you to available model output.
They already are doing some acoustic work with that simulation.
