export
MPI_INC_DIR=/mit/software/gcc/gcc-4.6.0/pkg/openmpi/openmpi-1.6/include
/mit/dgoldber/MITgcm/tools/genmake2 -mods=../code -oad -mpi
fails while compiling due to an mpif77 "internal compiler error" --
googling led me to a post by Jean which mentions a similar issue with GCC.
There is an optfile
/MITgcm/tools/build_options/linux_ia64_ifort+oad
that seems as though it is meant to address this issue, but this optfile is
quite short -- in particular it does not add the proper lines for the mpi
include directory, but I'm not sure if there is anything else is missing. I
assume there is not a way to use multiple optfiles? Should I create a new
optfile based on linux_amd64_gfortran but add the relevant bits from
linux_ia64_ifort+oad?
Thanks very much
Dan
