Hi Alistair,
I usually cite this scheme as Daru and Tenaud. But if you and Jean-Michel have modified it, shouldn't we do it like this: D+T (2004), with modifications by A+C (pers.com)?

Out of interest, who's citing it as "personal communication"? I don't want to take credit for just implementing it. The multi-dimensional aspect is not vanilla but mostly due to Jean-Michel Campin (personal communication!)

I'm writing up some of my results and would like to include a reference for this scheme (other than the MITgcm code itself). All of the papers I've found list the reference as "Adcroft, personal communication." I'm hoping that something about this scheme has been published somewhere (perhaps as a technical report?). Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
