[MITgcm-support] Testscript2 and cleaning

Chris, for altix 1/4-deg timing tests, we are currently using a
derivative of release1.  Any compelling reasons (especially
performance-related) to test more recent MITgcm code while I am at NASA
Ames this coming Monday?
