[MITgcm-support] Layers package thermodynamic diagnostics...

Hi all,

Does anyone have the equations that are being output by the pkg/layers​ for the thermodynamic variables?  Do these work?

For instance, the diagnostics are things like LaTz​, which is Layer thickness tendency due to THETA vert. diff.​  This is output on Nlayers-1​ levels.  Similarly, the other tendencies (`LTha` , ​ LTza​) are on Nlayers-1.

That doesn’t make sense to me - I’d have thought this would be measured for each layer.

I also cannot see where the package picks up the diffusive fluxes at the layer boundaries, but perhaps I have not tried hard enough.

Any help anyone has is much appreciated!
