[MITgcm-support] Diagnostic "Um_Advec"

Thanks Yu-Kun, Jean-Michel for the inputs. Clearly, I read too much in the name of “Um_Advec”.
I did a bit more digging and added some diagnostics for the KE component of the Bernoulli potential (the pressure component is in Um_dPhiX) and for the 3D Coriolis terms.
For the record I get this:
Um_Advec = Um_Cori + Um_AdvZ3 + Um_BerKE + Um_Cori3 + Um_AdvRe + Um_Metr
Some of these terms will be zero depending on options (e.g. Um_Metr = zero with deepAtmosphere=T).
Cheers,
David

Hi David,
I think Um_Advec/ Vm_Advec, always include the Coriolis term (even if using fluxform).
The first level decomposition should be:
Total-U-tendency = Um_Advec + Um_Diss + Um_ImplD + Um_dPhiX + Um_Ext + AB_gU
And on second level, can try to split Um_Advec. This depend on the use of
flux-form or vector-inv. For the later, should be the sum of Coriolis, Bernouilli
term (no diagnostics), Um_AdvZ3 and Um_AdvRe (+ vertical/NH metric terms).
but I did not checked so I might have missed one.
Cheers,
Jean-Michel
