Hello,
I hope you are doing well. My name is Héctor Delgado, I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Washington. I work with Dr. Rory Barnes using an open source code called VPLanet to simulate how planetary, stellar, dynamic and many other physical properties affect habitability for exoplanetary systems.
VPLanet contains various physical modules and one of them is an energy balance model. We are trying to update our land distribution for modern Earth in our code and I wanted to know if we could use MIT GCM 1 degree resolution of the modern Earth land distribution? Our code is 1 dimensional so I will bin it from 3D to 1D and if we were to use I will gladly cite you on the papers that we use it. Thank you so much in advance!
Best,
Héctor
