[MITgcm-support] nonperiodic gentim2d controls w/out calendar

Hello

When using gentim2d controls with the ctrl package and without pkg/cal, it seems from this line:

that the only options are either to have a periodic control, or an effectively time independent one. There is not a combination of options that allows a time varying nonperiodic control when the calendar package is not used (and possibly when it is), is my understanding correct?
