[MITgcm-support] basic question about MITgcm forcings

Hi,
I've never run MITgcm before, but I'm curious if it is possible to set up a
simulation that was forced with CESM2 output (2deg ocean/1deg atmos OR 1deg
ocean/1deg atmos). More specifically, does MITgcm automatically downscale
or is there a pre-processing stage that can easily be achieved?  Also, at
what frequency does the forcing need to be (eg. 3hrly, 6hrly, daily)?
