Hi,
the model needs rates, so if the data contains accumulation over a period, you need to convert that to a rate by dividing the accumulation by the period. This would give a mean rate at the middle of the period.

After digging a little bit, I found out that the model uses bilinear interpolation to interpolate the atmospheric forcing data (except the wind vectors) into the model grid. I was thinking to use the interp2 from MatLab to do this job, but I am concerned about the precipitation and the shortwave and longwave radiation. They are defined as the total accumulation of heat and water in the grid cell for a specific period. Therefore I am not 100% sure if I have to preprocess before computing these fields. Thanks in advance for all your help and assistance
