[MITgcm-support] python utilities and python3?

Hi Christoph,

If you’re switching to Python, I think the xmitgcm package (https://github.com/MITgcm/xmitgcm) along with xgcm (https://github.com/xgcm/xgcm) would provide a simpler and more comprehensive toolkit for using Python to analyze your outputs.
The best way to install these packages is probably via conda.
