[MITgcm-support] suddenly producing NaNs

Hi Yangxin.

You built up instabilities somehwere? My guess would be along a sponge layer or at some point where the resolution is telescoped, perhaps too suddenly.   Figuring out where the instability develops would help diagnose the issue.

Could also be that mixing has simply reduced your stratification somewhere and you are getting larger w values.
