[MITgcm-support] flt output frequency and post process

Hi all,

Two quick questions.  The flt package has a parameter flt_int_traj (or flt_int_prof)
in data.flt that defines the model-state sampling frequency by floats.  I just wonder if
it is like the parameter freq in data.diagnostics.   When freq is set to negative (positive)
value, it samples model state every snapshot (time-average).  Does flt_int_traj have
similar functionality or it should be always positive and only sample snapshot state?

The second question is that when deal with very large size of flt outputs, it is not possible
to read all of them into memory and group and sort them into complete trajectories.  Are
there any scripts (matlab, python) that can glue all the float tiled outputs into a single file
and therefore facilitate the subsequent analysis?

Thank you very much in advance.
