[MITgcm-support] diagnostics at end of calendar months

Hi Dimitris --

I think so! I will try this -- i didn't know if pkg/cal was meant to be
used for this (and couldn't find mention of pkg/cal in the new
documentation but may not have been looking in the right place...) I will
try this then!!
