[MITgcm-support] Assigning atmospheric CO2 levels in DIC module

Hi everyone

I'm trying to change the default level of atmospheric CO2 in my runs.

This is hard coded into /MITgcm/pkg/dic/dic_readparms.F at 278ppm...

dic_pCO2    = 278. _d -6

I was under the impression that I could change this in the DIC_FORCING
namelist in data.dic but doing this gives the following error...

ABNORMAL END: S/R DIC_READPARMS: dic_pCO2 error
[NID 01718] 2015-01-09 16:40:04 Apid 12489693: initiated application
termination

Has anyone encountered this type of problem in the past?

Many thanks for any help received!

Jonny Williams
