[MITgcm-support] Sea surface height problem

Dear all.

I am using a simple box configuration with 2 open boundaries at western and
eastern sides. Model is forced with a simple sinusoidal zonal velocity at
both sides which reduces to zero at bottom and it has a 3-D pattern like
(Ny,Nz,time). The topography values are similar at boundaries and other
external forces are off. Therefore in principal model should not show any
water accumulation.

The problem is sea surface elevation increases constantly and velocities do
not show the prescribed sinusoidal pattern (increase until they reach to
constant values).

Here is data.obcs

 OBCSfixTopo=.FALSE.,
 OB_Jnorth= 100*0,
 OB_Jsouth = 100*0,
 OB_Ieast = 1*0,98*100,1*0, (98 cells are considered as open boundary)
 OB_Iwest = 1*0,98*1,1*0,
 useOBCSprescribe = .TRUE.,
 OBWuFile   = 'OBU.bin',
 OBEuFile    = 'OBEU.bin ',

In attached you can find the figure of outputs.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

regards

Kaveh.
