[MITgcm-support] Recommended NetCDF libraries

Hi there

I'm having problems getting a newly downloaded version of the MITgcm
compiled with NetCDF (the mnc package).

I am pointing the code to the NetCDF libraries that I have but I am still
getting the "*Can we create NetCDF-enabled binaries...  no*" error at
compilation.

The model proceeds to compile successfully in spite of this.

The version of NetCDF that I am using currently is netcdf-3.6.2.

Should I download the latest version of NetCDF from www.unidata.ucar.edu
and try that?
