Hi Jean-Michell,

you’re right. I modified both the data.mnc and the data.pkg files.
Now I have put beck the original and I have obtained an output.txt.
Is any .nc file generated at this step? Or the txt is the only output?

Thanks

Tobia

Hi Tobia and Dimitris,

This namelist terminator issue is handle by the optfile:
should be able to keep "&" as a terminator and the model
will change it to "/" if you have
DEFINES='... -DNML_TERMINATOR'

So may be you are not using the right optfile ?
Or might be a more subtile issue with how things work on
"MacBook-Pro" system ?

Also, regarding this error:
NC_CW_RL_R: cannot open either a per-face or a per-tile file: last try was 'pickup.0005184000.t001.nc'
STOP ABNORMAL END: S/R MNC_CW_RL_W
it should not happen since the "useMNC" line is commented out in
tutorial_global_oce_biogeo/input/data.pkg
Are you sure you are using exactly the unmodified tutorial set-up ?

Cheers,
Jean-Michel

looks like the data.mnc file may be problematic.
try replacing the "&" namelist terminator with "/" to see if this helps
