[MITgcm-support] Can MITgcm simulate tide driving by water level on OBCS?

Sorry I don’t know off-hand answer to (1). I would have to dig.

Yes to questions (2).

To first order do you really care about sea level “at" the boundary points?
These are technically outside the domain of integration, and as you saw for your particular
set of model parameter choices have zero impact inside the integration domain.
You will find that by specifying perpendicular velocity, the sea level just
inside your boundary will be modified in a reasonable way.

Hi Dimitris
Thanks a lot for your help. And I got another two questions
1)Which parts of MITgcm code should I modify to change sea level at the boundary in MITgcm?
2)OB?amFile/OB?phFile just contains the tide current that is perpendicular to the OBCs?

Sorry for my poor english, and please forgive me for my tedious questions.

Best regards,
Mark zhang
