[MITgcm-support] thSIce startIceModel v Initfile

Just a quick question about the thsice package...

How does the integer startIceModel in data.ice compare with the use of
initialization files (like thSIceFract_InitFile, eg. )?

Is it necessary to set this to one to use initial files or does this ask
for a pickup file from a previous run?
