Hi All,

We are carrying out global ocean simulations on a 1degree model with relaxation type boundary on salt and temperature similar to the 4 deg tutorial (/tutorial_global_oce_latlon). As the first layer thickness in the 1degree grid is 10m (1/5th of that of the 4 deg model), we chose the tau salt to be 1month (tau salt for 4 degree is 6 months).  Is this value reasonable and is there any recommended tau salt value for a 1 degree grid (with 10m first layer thickness)?

Thanks a lot

Best regards

Krishnakumar
