[MITgcm-support] cvs login problem

greetings;

i am able to do a cvs login and update from only a subset of the machines for which a have access.

at least one machine reports

"cvs [login aborted]: connect to mitgcm.org(IP address):2401 failed: Connection timed out.


are we only able to use cvs from machines that (perhaps?) are associated with our initial username, password
registration?
