Hi,

Just to let you know I met with Greg this morning and have forged a plan
with him to mend things. He needed more input than he was getting and no one
had really stepped up to the plate to tell him (in detail) what was needed.

I have a list of all the things that used to be directly under
mitgcm.organd will be reviewing each to determine if it is something
that needs to
stay or can be let go. This will be done to make maintaining the website a
more tractable task going forward.

As needed I will seek guidance and input from others. I have a breakdown of
members of all the mitgcm email lists to make follow-up more comprehensive.

Once we have a list of 'keepers', Greg will then organise the material under
sensible headers, however he is uncomfortable with choosing the names for
these (as they would appear as a part of a public URL and we may well have
strong feelings about what that should appear as).

Otherwise, my bit of mitgcm.org (ie the news section) seems to be in great
shape. I am now able to edit and the media library is back online. I look
forward to completing the October article on Sai (which has been delayed
because of the media library issue) and having this go online over the
weekend.

Greg is looking in to tagging current news as such so that we can make links
to it from the cmi and paoc sites etc. We plan to meet again on Monday at
11.
