Martin,

could you please send the optfile that you use (you find that in  
genmake_optfile, after you've done the genmake2 step) and the output  
of genmake2?

The segmentation fault is probably completely unrelated. This often  
happens at the very beginning, when there is not enough memory  
available, can be fixed with an "unlimit" in the shell. But here we  
would also need more information, such as the end of the output, just  
before it crashes.
