I just did that recently, thanks to JMC and CNH, by setting

  MomStepping=.TRUE.,
  useCoriolis=.TRUE.,
  MomAdvection=.FALSE.,
  MomViscosity=.FALSE.,

in my data file. This way pretty much only geostrophy is left. nw
