[MITgcm-support] Hot start the MITgcm

Dear all,
I want to run non-hydrostatic simulations for a medium sized lake with fine resolution. Due to lack of enough computational resources, I was wondering if I can initialize the nonhydrostatic model on fine grids (~10 m) with hydrostatic results were obtained on coarse grids (~ 300 m). Has anybody done this before?
