[MITgcm-support] rotated spherical polar grid

I need to use the MITgcm model, in nonhydrostatic mode, in a domain
that is rotated relative to the standard east-west/north-south
configuration. I want to use spherical-polar coordinates and the
domain will be on the order of 10 degrees by 5 degrees or smaller.
There has been some discussion in the past about altering angleSinC
and angleCosC and removing some if statements to accomplish this
transformation. Has anyone done this? Were there any surprises to
contend with? Has anyone found a better method?
Thanks,
Pat
