[MITgcm-support] vertical grid points and velocities

good afternoon everyone

I am looking at the vertical velocity fields in the model and when i 
load then into matlab it is loading at points xc,yc,zc, iter (according 
to attributes.W) but when i look at the manual it looks like the 
vertical components should be on the top/bottom of the continuity cells 
and not in the centre,

Can anyone tell me where these points are?
