Hi Steph,

Is that a 32-bit (i386/i686) or a 64-bit (x86_64) system?  You can
run "uname -a" to get the answer.

What does "in the right place" mean?  Are the netCDF headers and
libraries installed or not?  And, if they are, *where* are they?

Your bug report is unfortunately almost meaningless if you don't specify
these things exactly.

This is probably because your optfile explicitly defines a makedepend
that doesn't actually exist on your system.  Including a copy of the
actual optfile would be helpful.
