[MITgcm-support] genmake2/netcdf

Hi -
I am trying to compile on a:
  Dell Precision 690n with a Dual Core Xeon 5060

and having a few problems.

First, the optfile doesn't
seem to include any links to the netcdf libraries
(although the netcdf files do seem to be in the right place)

and the second error is on the "make depend":
make: /usr/X11R6/bin/makedepend: Command not found
make: *** [depend] Error 127

(although it goes on to compile okay - just without netcdf).

I think maybe the genmake2 needs to be updated? The build option
it is using is:

# Build options for Suse 9 Opteron
# tested on (Linux eaps-dhcp-127 2.4.21-102-smp #1 SMP Wed Sep 24 13:55:59 
UTC 2003 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) system 20031107


any suggestions?
