[MITgcm-support] C-D scheme

Hi,
I am trying to run a 2 degree ocean circulation model in a rectangular basin.
The MITgcm manuel says that for such coarse-resolution cases one
should use the C-D scheme.  Why do I need to use this scheme and how to
choose the coupling timescale tauCD?
