[MITgcm-support] Problem with MNC initialization

I wrote this too quickly: the lab_sea test ended normally but
was confused by the abscence of any monitor output.

To summarize, only hs94.cs give me a seg.fault, and I suspect
it's in the diagnostics pkg that is using MNC (it works fine
when I turned-off diag_mnc=.TRUE. in data.diagnostics).
