Hi JJ,

A couple of comments:

 1) Gnu bash is not too hard to install.  Please see:
    http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/bash.html

 2) Please send us the errors from your sh-shell so that we can
    debug it.  Genmake2 was written to be sh-compatible and I'm 
    at a loss as to why its not working for you.
