Hi Martin, one example that works with up-to-date code is for a
32x32x6x15 cube sphere configuration. Data files are in:

  cvs co MITgcm_contrib/high_res_cube/input/data
  cvs co MITgcm_contrib/high_res_cube/input/data.cal
  cvs co MITgcm_contrib/high_res_cube/input/data.exf
  cvs co MITgcm_contrib/high_res_cube/input/data.exf_clim

The complete setup is the first experiment described in

  cvs co MITgcm_contrib/high_res_cube/README_ice

In data.cal I use

 TheCalendar='gregorian'

and specify input fields for an arbitrary year. Then I use the
variable RepeatPeriod for repeating the forcing for multiple years.

===========================================================

An older cyclic-forcing example, for the 4x4-deg x 15-level
global ocean experiment is in

  cvs co MITgcm_contrib/ocean_inversion_project/input

It was last tested with checkpoint51n and
integrated OK for 3000 years.

Hope this helps a little bit. Cheers, Dimitris
