[MITgcm-support] shortwave, water type and calendar package

Hi Dimitris,
actually, at least one example would be fantastic, although I am almost
there now.

I tripped over the date format of the @#$%^&*-calendar package: If you
use theCalendar='model', the reference date is 1 (which probably mean
year=0000, month=00,day=01), I think it should be (at least) 101 (so
month=01, day=01). I erroneously used 0 for startDate, and there is
even a check for this error, but the package doesn't issue a warning
let alone stop for this error.

Now I have the problem that with EXT_VERBOSE defined I get output that
tells me that the climatological files are interpreted (correctly) as
representative for the middle of the month, but the flux/stress etc
files are not (although is specifed them to be exactly that in my
data.exf, see appendix).

Please send me an example (just data* files should be fine)!
Thanks,
Martin
