Hi Michael,
To use the latest genmake2, the safest thing to do is:
1) Do a *thorough* back-up of the code and inputs that you're
currently using.
2) Get a fresh copy of all the latest MITgcm code (including
genmake2) from CVS: http://mitgcm.org/source_code.html
3) Try this new version with a copy of your input files from
the older version.
4) Please send any bugs you encounter to this list.
And as I mentioned in the last email, I can't guarantee that the latest
changes will work perfectly on MacOS X. I'm looking for help testing
it. If you wait a few days, someone will hopefully get a chance to test
it and provide some more specifics.
