Hi Martin,

Thank you for the more detailed genmake2 bug report!  Its very helpful!

I just checked in a very small tweak to genmake2 and an additional file
to the tools/build_options directory that should fix platform detection
for your OSX box.  Please let me know if it produces any further errors.
