[MITgcm-support] soft-link order of directories (packages!)

Hi Alistair & Patrick,

In response to the earlier "link order" questions, I've added a
specification of the soft-linking directory precedence order at:

  http://mitgcm.org/devel_HOWTO/devel_HOWTO_onepage/#GENMAKE

under the "-mods" description. This behavior can be described as "the
order of precedence is the order in which *you* specify the packages".
This is very flexible and required no changes to genmake since genmake
did nothing internally to sort the directories.

So if you need to have "PACKAGE_A" before "PACKAGE_B", then just specify
them in the order you want. One easy way to do that is to put the
packages you want into a text file and then use the "-pdefault=file"
option.

If you find any errors in the description, please let me know!

thanks,
Ed
