Hi Dimitris,

I ran a few more tests last night...

With useSEAICE = .FALSE. in data.pkg my code works fine (for many 1000s of
steps). It gives results that are very similar to results obtained forcing
with fluxes directly.

But with useSEAICE = .TRUE., and everything else identical, I get a CFL
violation after 470 steps (the solver diverges: u, v, w blow up in the
Gulf of Mexico).

Any suggestions? Should I expect different stability properties with
pkg/seaice switched on? Should I initialize differently?

Thanks, Tom.
