Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the info - I've still got a lot to learn!

The reason I tried to upgrade to release1_p5 was because I could get TAMC
to generate the adjoint (it gave a source error) with earlier versions of
the model (release1_beta1 and ecco_c44_e24).

You are correct I have been using the ecco code - ecco_c44_e24. Is this
the latest version? If so I'll try using the ecco obc code with
release1_p5. I trust the packages are independent enough of the base
version that this is possible (?)
