[Mitgcm-support] makedepend on SUN's

Hi,

I've noticed that the makedepend executable on many SUN workstations
(e.g. slough.mit.edu) only supports a fairly limited number
of files (the variable MAXFILES is set too low, probably to 512).
This causes makedepend to crash for the latest MITgcm:
makedepend: error:  out of space: increase MAXFILES
*** Error code 1

Is it possible to increase the parameter MAXFILES
and create a new makedepend executable?
