[Mitgcm-support] b.f. CVS

This bloody f... CVS:
I've commited the changes to the main head all right.
I've branched release1_final from c44d all right and
commited all changes.
Now I want to merge those changes into the ecco-branch,
and this stupid thing (I guess, it's rather me)
won't even let me add a single file:
cvs server: cannot add file on non-branch tag
ecco_c44_e18                      

Anyone knows why, and how to get rid of it?

In the main trunk it would be easy,
one just does a CVS update -A,
but that doesn't work here since, I don't
want to update the ecco-branch with the main head.
