Hi Dimitris,

don't know whether it was you or Curtis who
introduced the exf_inscal variables.
Either way, the endings are a bit unfortunate,
since they differ from the "standard" variable pre-/suffixes
(e.g. hf instead of hflux, ust instead of ustress, etc).
This way, they can be easily missed in a grep
or find/replace.

Would it be OK if I modify those or would that
mess up all your experiments?
