That normally means that the #!/usr/local/bin/perl 
path on the first line is wrong for that machine.
Try
% which perl
and then put the path 
usually
#!/usr/bin/perl

is a good alternate!

aogcm is down (and may be out for a while).
for some reason geofon doesn't think joinmds is a command -
is there something about the script it doesn't understand?
any ideas?
