[Mitgcm-support] next checkpoint

When does Patrick get back? I think we have the essential
ingredients for cubing/AIMing in place and bugs being worked
out now. We should start thinking about merging it in to make
a new checkpoint.        ^^^^^^^^

 - pebble on a cubed-sphere is running (adjustment.cs-32x32x1)
 - compare with pebble on the lat-lon grid (adjustment.128x64x1)

Testing 3D stuff now...

We have some issues regards the latest adjoint changes that
we need to resolve with this merge which is why we need Patrick.
